Default Ursan usage

Hey guys im currently in Australia and i happened to hear from a m8 over MSN that Ursan has been nurfed. Now i can see how ursan can be used again Rangers arcane mimicking Oath shot or air of supremacy usage. So i was wondering does anyone actually bother using ursan now??? Are there DoA Ursan teams still out there or has it morphed back into "Balanced"? Also how are peeps farming norn points now? Im very curious and am still unable to log into GW for another 2 weeks and i am interested in how the ursan nurf is being delt with.

No one seems capable of PUG'ing it anymore, DoA is a ghost town. You'd think that at least some people would be capable of developing a useful team again that didn't involve ursan... ah well, it might just be my luck that no one is there when I bother looking.

By far the best team build I seen for non ursan DoA and the credits go to the Glob Of Ectospasm [GoE] guild.

It includes all the builds and a great guide by one the members.

When I am really tired of adjusting my build to a given vq I still use ursan (only on my warrior). I place azura summon, then some vanguard one then Ursan. When Ursan expires I have enough energy to replace summons with new ones. Actually for doing stuff with H/H new Ursan is paradoxally much better for me (full energy bar when it expires). I do not use it at all on my other chars though. I would not use it for DOA anymore.

Guild teams have already started developing and perfecting new builds and strategies (GoE isn't the only one, but the guide is great, and I'm glad it was shared with the community) to finish DoA in HM again. If anything, due to other skill buffs, Ursan (before nerf) is now being out-performed.

It's the same thing that happened when DoA was first introduced. Only guild teams were succesfully doing it until capable but pug players were able to wrap their heads around it and coach the masses into button-mashing.

The reason old-school players don't want to return to GoA missions is because it is not worth it. The Mallyx greens are over-flooded in market, sell low, and the time and skill needed to do it using trinity is just not worth it. (ex: 2 hrs+ foundry run alone).

However, GoA gem farming will remain as long as ambraces exist.

Indeed, several pve guilds ( often referred to as "high-end" ) that didn't use ursan systematically already had several other options for all high end dungeons and elite areas, so instead of using ursan, they used some brains to overcome everything.
I don't think it will take long before players are willing to learn the new builds/options given to overcome the ursan nerf, and start playing doa again, and perhaps ( propably ) even enjoying the challenge of completing it non-ursan ^^

It's not about the mallyx greens......what do you think will happen to the prices of armbraces and gems when the HoM update kicks-in to include Torment weapons?

So, ~2 hours full run in nm, with a balanced team, reward is ~2 gemsets? And you say its not worth it?

You mean with the people that will actually add Tormies to their HoM already being aware of the change?
Not much.

I believe the HoM Torment thing is all a hype. I dare to proclaim that most players allready have destroyer weps in they'rs; so who's going to add torment weps? The noob that has not filled his yet, shure as hell does not have cash to afford them. IMO tormented prices will steadily decline over time.

Perfect example of a self fullfulling profecy, people think they are going to go up in price, so they anticipate to that and prices already go up now. I dont really care, as long as more people start playing doa, its all good

Nice way to insult people that think destroyer weapons = pieces of crap and torment weapons are flashing craps for FFI-XIII fans.

Cryway is kind of tricky due to the assas getting hit trough sf by touches, and mesmers arent really the most popular profession in pve

stupid ppl use ursan for elite missions
see yelling ppl sometimes in grotto ursan lfg who dont read dev updates (or skill descriptions)
i'm still fine doing HM, i can terra in the duncan dungeons and still do missions with a well balanced team
only thing i used ursan for since it's nerf is a norn tournament, since i got more armor now (play it on ele) i can win the tournament with no effort
the 1 minute timer on ursan is more then enough to finish a round
